Choosing The Longest Range By Deciding On A Private Jet

One of the questions most frequently asked by first-time fliers is that private jet has the longest range? With new jets being introduced all the time, the question is still a valid one. But it can be easier to answer if you have an idea of what type of aircraft is being used. This is because there are generally three types of private jet.

These are – executive, economy and small jet. You can fly in any of these without holding a licence. The most expensive of these, of course, is the executive jet which can cost upwards of tens of millions of pounds. These are used by the richest people in the world as they are able to hire private chefs, wine cellars and even live in private suites. However, they do come with a price. These are generally used for business travel or in serious situations where security needs to be as high as possible.

The next is the economy class which is used for commercial reasons by small companies or individuals. It can be as low as one hundred and twenty pounds per hour. Generally the smaller companies will charter a private jet rather than a bigger aircraft. There is also a drop down to around forty-five pounds for a single journey – although it may be cheaper if you are using the jet for a longer period of time.

The third, and final, is the small private jet. As its name suggests, this is the cheapest option. It will only have about room for a couple of passengers and is not usually used for private flights. If you need a private jet, then this is probably the best route to take – but then again, which private jet has the longest range!

Of course, it is also worth remembering that the longer you travel the more the charter cost. However, it may well be cheaper in the long run if you book online. The advantage of booking your private jet with an internet booking service is that they can find you the best prices and you don’t have to search from car to aircraft to see if you are getting the cheapest deal.

Another thing to consider is the time you want to fly. Sometimes it can be better to choose a day that is less busy. A peak holiday season is usually best for private jets, as there are more of these jets at airports. In fact, if you can find one that is half way between your destination and the airport, you will save on fuel. So a quiet, early morning flight is better for saving on fuel. However, do not fly at night – even for one day – as you risk losing weight in the process, not to mention the risk of accidents.

If you need a bit of privacy then you may be better off going for a larger aircraft. However, if you are looking to fly chartered then you have to consider the distance you will be flying. Remember, if you fly business class then you get the benefits of being in the first class – whereas those who opt for a small private jet are likely to suffer the same problems as those in the first class cabin! However, if you can afford it then go for a slightly bigger private jet, as you will get more value for money.

Other things you should look out for when researching the flight route is air traffic congestion, weather and airports. The longer you are away from the airport – say by taking a different train service – the less likely it is that you will have a problem with traffic congestion. Again, if you are flying business class you will most likely benefit from the extra space, so you do not have to worry about this. However, if you are travelling economy you may not as the traffic congestion could well cause you to miss your connecting flight.
